This morning, we got up and drove to Waco to visit Cameron Park Zoo. Although it was smaller than the zoo we normally go to, it was beautiful! Lots and lots of shade trees and at times, with all the trees and other plants around you, it was easy to feel like you were the only people in the zoo!
Austin was in the mood to take pictures - for a change - so I got alot of nice shots today!!
The lion - and he was awake! In all our visits to Jacksonville Zoo, I don't think we have ever seen the lions awake!
Brazos River Country was a neat area displaying animals and items from our area.
Austin was fascinated with this.
Pretending to be an otter on the otter slide!
And they had a baby jaguar!!
Owls in the 'Brazos at Night' House
Austin loved the tee-pee's and was so excited that he could go in it.
He offered to get me a lily pad :) Sweet boy.
And he actually told me to take his picture here! He climbed on the rock by himself and says, Mom take my picture!
And finally, we headed over to the playground area. There were several school groups that were older kids, so we didn't go over till after they left. Which worked out really good, as Austin had the play area to himself!

Being brave by the snake. Don't worry, its fake! :)
Practicing his bull riding skills.
Water fun.
