Shhh! Don't tell, we're playing hooky today! Since Dad has a crazy work schedule this month, the only way we could all go to see Santa and do a little shopping together was to go during the week. So we played hooky! . :) Why not, it's Christmas! To kick things off, we headed to Cracker Barrel for breakfast! Austin and Dad played a quick game of checkers while Mom was doing some browsing. :)
After breakfast, we headed down to the Avenues Mall to see Santa. There were no lines so we walked right up. Santa was in a silly mood, because he kept tickling Austin to try to get him to laugh for the pictures and also had him make crazy faces! Thanks for a great visit Santa!
After Santa, we did some shopping, well more browsing than shopping, and Austin spotted the train! Normally, I would not have let him ride this one, as it started at one end of the mall and went all the way to the other end before coming back. Too long out of my line of site for this mama! But since it was still early in the day, and crowds were VERY low, he got to ride. Even better, he got a private ride too! Choo Choo!
