The zoo was decorated for Halloween, so we got to enjoy the decorations too!
We even threw Austin in the fish tank! Just kidding! There is a tunnel under the tank for kids to crawl thru, which was a big hit with my little one!

Next, Austin wanted to stick his head in a lion's mouth. :) But just to get a drink of water!
Now to ride a tiger!
The carousel was the start of the children's area in the zoo. Including a small splash area. It was warm enough to get wet and Austin had the place entirely to himself! Good thing Mom was prepared with dry clothes!!
After drying off and changing clothes, we explored more of the children's area. Here, they had a playground, discovery area, few animals, and a petting zoo. Austin got to become part of the exhibit of the prairie dogs.
After a stop for lunch, time to do some more exploring.

After stopping at the gift shop for a souvenir, and getting some pressed pennies for our collection, we headed home!
